JIM
WALDEN Physical,
Emotional, and Spiritual Healing Helper, Clinical Hypnotherapist and
Holistic Educator Background
Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is Jim’s hometown, and he lived there until
1997. Between 1974 and 1991 he was a
professor of business administration and business education and achieved the
rank of tenured associate professor at Arkansas Tech University.
He served as the city administrator of Eureka Springs from 1991 to 1996;
and during 1997, he moved to West Chester, Pennsylvania, to pursue his interest
in holistic healing. After studying
with several accomplished healing practitioners for nearly five years, Jim
returned to Arkansas and now resides in Berryville. Jim became aware of his psychic abilities during the late1960s when he discovered his ability to hold objects and receive impressions about people and places. People began to ask him for advice and readings. By the early 1980s, he was well-known in the Eureka Springs area as a psychic who gave his time and abilities to people freely; and during 1985, his readings began to focus on helping people heal themselves. Group healing sessions became a routine at Jim’s house. Since 1997, Jim has studied several healing modalities with accomplished teachers as he fashioned his own methodologies. He has successfully completed certification programs in Quantum Healing, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Past-life Regression, Therapeutic Touch, Reflexology, and Reiki; and he has participated in many healing group activities. As most healing helpers do, Jim has developed his own ways of facilitating healing awareness and sharing healing energies and rarely practices any learned modalities in their pure form. During 1999, Jim began to teach seminars on healing through physical, emotional, and spiritual awareness and to develop a healing helper practice. In addition, he is now teaching introductory clinical hypnosis and past-life regression programs. Highlights of Holistic Teaching

Holistic healing is more than treating symptoms; it’s more than energy medicine, homeopathy, etc. Holistic healing is about helping the whole person heal--physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Considering the power of thoughts to influence human physiology chemically and electrically, holistic healing may be a matter of helping people learn how to transcend their multiple minds. Certainly, holistic healing is about helping people relax, let go of fearful, ceaselessly repeating thoughts, and love self. Most healing practitioners have never really healed anyone because people must heal themselves from the inside out. An effective healing helper perceives illness as nothing more than illusion in the mind of the sufferer. By being free of the illusion of illness, a healing helper can help those who are caught by their perceptions of ailments and conditions in the body. A healing practitioner, regardless of their modality, must see the afflicted as a well, prefect representation of spirit and know that the body always wants to be free of physical ailments and negative emotions and to follow the spirit in wholeness and perfection. By representing the truth of wholeness and perfection, creating awareness of healing, and facilitating healing energies and thoughts, a practitioner helps the afflicted heal themselves, if they chose to heal. Healing helpers understand that most people have fears that must be overcome before healing can occur and that helpers must be resourceful, adaptable, and capable of creating awareness of healing and facilitating physical, emotional, and spiritual energies. Healing through physical awareness generally cannot be effected in isolation from emotional and spiritual healing. To achieve sustained healing, people must heal on all three levels; and typically, self-healing is a matter of learning how to let go of the root of the problem, i.e., reclaiming control of the mind, rather than allowing the mind to have control.
